Public Safety Management System

Westpower has developed a Public Safety Management System (PSMS) to control hazards that present significant risk of serious harm to any member of the public or significant damage to its property.

Many existing Westpower safety and operating processes incorporate policies, procedures and codes of practice used for hazard identification, risk management and control.

The purpose of the Public Safety Management System is to demonstrate these component processes, and the overall system that they form a part of, show all practicable steps have been taken to ensure Westpower's assets do not present a significant risk of serious harm to any member of the public or significant damage to its property.

The PSMS is registered by Telarc SAI Limited as complying with NZS 7901:2008.

If you identify any hazard relating to our assets (overhead power lines, poles, distribution transformers, etc.) please contact us on 0800 768 241 anytime or complete our online form.
